Simone Ridge-Cooke
Simone is a self-taught artist who enjoys experimenting with new mediums and challenging herself to learn new creative outlets.
Simone enjoys experimenting and celebrating the joy and wonder found in the simple things. From vibrant landscapes to whimsical characters, her creations aim to transport us to a realm where imagination knows no bounds. Driven by a genuine passion for creativity and it's therapeutic benefits, Simone uses various artistic techniques to bring her visions to life. Use of colour and attention to detail breathe life into each piece, evoking emotions and inviting us to pause, reflect, and find solace in the artful moments of our lives.
Through encouragement to pursue art as more than a hidden hobby, Simone has begun to exhibit in local exhibitions/competitions, entering the 2022 Royal Adelaide Show receiving commendations, as well as donating art to charities she is passionate about - including Mary Potter Foundation and Rare Find Foundation. Simone has taken her self-taught artwork to the community and is hoping to continue to engage art enthusiasts who appreciate the genuine and relatable nature of her work.
Simone hopes to show in her work that art connects with people from all walks of life, reminding us that creativity is not confined to museums and galleries but can be found in the everyday experiences we all share.
