Artist Statement I'm interested in the relationship between children and their environment.

Exploring the memory and moments of summertime. The beach has always been a huge part of my life, from childhood summer holidays to now, the inspiration behind my artworks.

I create oil paintings on canvas that capture a sense of time and place, making that moment eternal. They draw you in with the familiar, and invite you to interpret the story behind them. Transporting the viewer into figurative delightful moments with vivid coastal scenes. My paintings all share an emphasis on rich and vibrant colour, fine brushwork, strong light and shadow.

I also specialise in commissions of portraits of children.

I've had the opportunity to create paintings for local South Australian identities including Gavin and Pippa Wanganeen's girls and a portrait of Mark Soderstrom's children as a surprise thank you gift for his fundraising efforts for the Childhood Cancer Association.

These special commissions become family heirlooms that can be treasured and handed down through generations.

The scale of my oil paintings range from 600mm x 500mm up to 1200mm x 760mm. All the paintings are ready to be hung on walls, be framed or be displayed on art display easels.
