My work leads viewers into the gaze of creatures who experience our world from different minds and often with different sensory inputs. I want to inspire deeper understanding and respect for diverse intelligence on earth. My art is driven not only by my passion for life in all its diversity, but by a sound understanding of structure, function and connections which I developed through degrees in evolutionary biology and ecology and my doctoral research into human-nature connection. I work primarily in oil pastel.
