This year our SALA Exhibition “Echoes of Tarnanthi” showcases artwork that was created by Years 7 – 11 students during semester one in 2024. It will be held in the last week of August, in the Eco Classroom and surrounding Eco Sanctuary. This year will be our inaugural SALA exhibition at Tatachilla Lutheran College and the theme for our Exhibition this year is a response to the Tarnanthi exhibition held at the Art Gallery of South Australia in 2023-2024. Titled “Echoes of Tarnanthi” this exhibition explores how contemporary Indigenous Australian artists have used symbolism within their work to portray messages about life, meaning and culture and how we can use that as a starting point to, not just learn about Indigenous culture and its history, but also the different ways that we can represent symbolic meaning within our own artwork.
