Each work is a nod to one of the well-known contemporary artists, a salutation, and an expression of gratitude for what they taught us. At the same time, it is a re-interpretation of the essence of their work, an experiment, an attempt to translate it into another medium, photography. What would Yayoi Cusama do if she was primarily a photographer? How can I inform a photographic work with Julian Schnabel's painting? What can we learn from creative exercises in blurring boundaries between mediums?

Each of these experiments is an attempt of honoring the work of these great artists without appropriation and copying any of their specific works, but rather by developing something new on the foundations they have laid for us. Every time we make art, we get in conversation with everyone who came before us.
This exhibition is also a humorous commentary on the beginnings of collecting art. Most collectors start collecting prints and editions and as they continue on their collector journey, they start collecting paintings and sculptures. Therefore, a print emulating Julian Schnabel's work is "Poor Man's Julian Schnabel".
