RaqCityArtz + You See Art (formally U City Art Studio) present "TEXTILE" an up-cycled wearable art collection. Raquel Larkins (RaqCityArtz) is an emerging artist of Kokatha, Dieri, Arabana and Narungga descent. She is a recipient of a First Nations Creative Careers Grants program funded by the City of Adelaide and Arts South Australia and has worked with community artist Claire Wildish bringing together artists from Uniting Communities' Kurlana Tamparwardli and the You See Art community art studio to launch a textile and wearable art collection up-cycling donated Goodwill clothes into a new designer range. The works will be exhibited in You See Art's popup street side gallery along Pitt St and paraded as part of Uniting Communities Lifeline Gala on the 9th May.
