Pia Kuykhoven and Cate Jone's ceramic work is complementary. They both use dense decoration and colour to create images on their pieces that magnify the possibilities of a bolder look at domesticity, the pervasive power of myths and the brilliant lushness of the world we live in.

Pia’s work describes the beauty of the natural made more exotic. She expresses her connection to home, the things she loves and lives with, through her passion for colour and rich beautification.

Cate’s ceramics are decorated to express her relationships with creatures both supernatural and animal. She, like Pia, has a desire to create beautiful domestic objects that challenge the unremarkable offerings of consumerism.
