In suspense refers to the mysterious state we know so well these days- of hanging in there and finding balance between beauty and ugliness, between joy and suffering. But we can choose to delight in the fresh winds of change and improved attitudes, the sunlight of warm collaboration, the opportunity to spread our wings and take off like an eagle into the lighter updrafts of creativity and shared kindness.

Nestled in the peaceful, bird filled surrounds of vineyards, bush and hills, Aphelion Cellar Door offers a relaxing respite from the everyday. You are most welcome to stay for a tasting or a glass of wine and nibbles while you watch Evette work.

For twenty years Evette has explored places in the land and heart, bedding her findings into fellowships of human sized forms built in situ from organic materials. Her gardener’s eye is tuned to landscape rhythms, a potter’s hand to texture, her weaving fingers to material properties. During this making of form outside, a thousand reciprocal thoughts and feelings connect her with nature and humankind; to the work of spinning new threads of seeing into the living world.
