It is said from Dreamtime stories that when a Goanna is seen standing poised or climbing a tree or log it is calling on the spirits for the rain to fall. This artwork shows a strong and proud Goanna standing out from a blazing sun calling for rain. It is constructed on a board base comprising boomerangs, killing sticks and digging sticks which were sourced from the Kura Yerlo Aboriginal Men's Group.
