"Weathering" explores Japanese Philosopher Watsuji's notion of "Fūdo” (風土) or "Climate" as being a inextricable connection between humans, the environments of their ancestry, and the shaping force of the environment on our futures. Watsuji's concept of "Fudo" frames an artistic interrogation of Australian landscapes, tangled histories of personal and ancestral migrations, and deeply explores ways we connect or disconnect with nature. Exploring connections with ecological ethics, works will explore how climactic rhythms influence the human condition and ways of re-navigating our relationships with our natural world. This highly experimental photographic based contemporary work will push the boundaries of co-creation as an artistic collaboration of artist, Nature, and Artificial Intelligence to create new collectively imagined futures.
