Tina MOORE
Exhibition
Working from her home studio at Laura in the Southern Flinders Ranges, Tina Moore is an award-winning print maker who exhibits in numerous regional galleries and in her own gallery as well as internationally via a US-based print-maker’s exchange.
She has a long history of multi-media print making and since 2010 has been creating limited edition, multicoloured woodblock prints.
Inspired by landscapes from Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges to the rugged coast of Victoria. Whether coastal or country, Tina’s travels by sail and on land are always used to gather visual information for her work.
Her current series “Dreamscapes” is a reaction to personal life events that have given her a new view of familiar scenes. Tina has shifted her colour palette to the surreal with dream-like distortions that express her emotional response to a personal view of old landscapes.
The works created using multicoloured woodblock. Both sides of the blocks are employed to build colour and detail allowing for variations on a theme over multiple editions. This print process concludes with a single unique edition available from each reduction print.
