This exhibition features local community created artworks from Louise Flaherty's artist in residency at the North Adelaide Community Centre and features individually created and designed postcards which hero the sights, sounds and feeling of North Adelaide as a place to live and be.

Artist Louise Flaherty was the City of Adelaide’s North Adelaide Artist in Residence at the North Adelaide Community Centre and Library Jan-July 2025. This residency, entitled: ‘For the Love of North Adelaide’, celebrated the people, places, natural environment, culture and history of North Adelaide. The Residency included a number of community creative workshops where participants created ink and watercolour postcards that represented what they loved about North Adelaide including written messages to North Adelaide. Louise also invited community members to share with her their favourite plant growing in North Adelaide - either from their own garden or community spaces including the Park Lands. She has created a collection of plant drawings, representing the people of North Adelaide. This exhibition will feature a combination of Louise’s drawings from the residency and previous works, along with postcard artworks created by the community.
