Every artwork has a rhythm.
Line moves like melody; colour shifts like harmony; shape and texture pulse beneath the surface — felt before they are fully understood. Visual rhythm is not metaphor. It is the structural energy that draws the eye through a composition, that gives form its tension, its resolution, its life.
SALA 26 takes this energy as its curatorial heart. The exhibition brings together works that explore visual tempo in all its manifestations: the recurring wave of a seascape, the contour of a human face, the beat of pattern across canvas, the sweep of open landscape, the quiet insistence of pure abstraction.
Across painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, the artists presented here each ask the same essential question in their own distinct voice: how does a work move? How does it hold a tempo, establish a pulse, invite the eye to travel, and what does that movement mean?
The answers are as varied as the works themselves. Harmony and discord, repetition and rupture, flow and arrest, they all find their place here.
