Open Studio
I am a mixed media artist working across textiles, painting, printmaking, and bookmaking. My practice is guided by intuition, where process becomes a form of discovery rather than a fixed outcome. I am drawn to the tactile qualities of materials—the way fabric holds memory, how paint resists or absorbs, how ink settles unpredictably into a surface.
Serendipity plays a central role in my work. I embrace chance encounters between materials, allowing unexpected textures, marks, and forms to emerge. Through layering, stitching, printing, and binding, I create pieces that evolve organically, often revealing their direction through making rather than planning.
Materiality is at the core of my exploration. I am interested in how surfaces can be altered, disrupted, and reassembled—how something fragile can become resilient, or how something ordinary can be transformed through attention and touch. My books and objects become intimate spaces where these ideas are held, inviting close engagement and quiet reflection.
Ultimately, my work is an ongoing conversation between control and surrender, where intuition, process, and material coalesce to create works that are both deliberate and open-ended.
