'Around the Table' explores memory, intimacy, and cultural inheritance through the shared meal. Emerging artists Alexandra Borgo and Mayeesha Manha use traditional tonal-realist oil painting techniques, yet treat food not as a static still-life but a relational and temporal force remembered across lifetimes. Resisting its commodification as a purely aesthetic object of consumption, they instead position food as evidence of presence and connection.

In this collaborative exhibition, Borgo and Manha's heritage intersect through exchange, mirroring the social dynamics of shared meals and allowing cultural difference and intimacy to intertwine within a shared visual language. Working together, they approach food and interconnection as overlapping yet distinct experiences shaped through entanglement.
