These artworks redeploy 'landscape’ as a means of remapping contextual boundaries of terrestrial imagery. This series of large paintings uses a 9 x 9 grid to extract, interrogate and recombine notions of the landscape. The various conventions and dimensions we use to view the land are dissected. Elements of maps, aerial views and number symbolism are arranged in this series of large 2D works to find new relationships of scale and intersections of meaning.
